In July of 1985, Elroy Steele (1919-1998), retired University of Nebraska at Omaha Professor (1961-1985) and Chair (1964-1973) of Economics, was interviewed by Paul Borge forReflections in Time.

Professor Elroy Steele was born in Kirkwood, IL. He received a B.A. (1948) in Foreign Affairs from George Washington University in Washington, DC, and an M.S. (1949) and Ph.D. (1957) in Economics from the University of Iowa. In 1967, Elroy Steele was named the UNO Kayser Professor of Economics.
