In April of 2000, Warren Francke, retired University of Nebraska at Omaha Professor (1966-2000) of Journalism and Communications, was interviewed by Jack Newton for Reflections in Time. Professor Warren Francke was born in Council Bluffs, IA. He received A B.A. (1960) and an M.A. from the Municipal University of Omaha and a Ph.D. in Mass Communication from the University of Minnesota.In 1988, Professor Francke won the UNO Excellence in Teaching Award.
