In February of 2000, Don Leahy (1929-2018), University of Nebraska at Omaha Athletic Director (1974-1985; 1995-1997) and coach, was interviewed by Jack Newton for Reflections in Time. Don Leahy was born in Omaha, NE. He graduated in 1947 from Omaha (NE) Creighton Prep High School and received an undergraduate degree (1952) from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI, and an M.S. Ed. (1958) from Creighton University in Omaha.  Don Leahy was instrumental in bringing several new sports to UNO, including men’s hockey, and women’s swimming & diving, soccer, tennis, and golf.
